Survey Polls U.S. 69 Users

Nearly 1,300 residents responded to a survey about U.S. 69 improvements that are being considered.

Survey Methodology
  • The survey was conducted by mail with follow-ups by email between November 6–25, 2020
  • 1,270 surveys were completed
    • 852 from Overland Park (with at least 100 per City Council ward)
    • 300 from Johnson County east of Lackman outside Overland Park
    • 118 from eastern Miami County
  • Excellent geographic distribution
  • Demographics are similar to recent Census estimates

Safety

Concerned about travel safety on U.S. 69

Traffic

Dissatisfaction with traffic flow on U.S. 69 between 103rd and 179th by Time of Day (based on experiences before the COVID-19 pandemic)

A majority were dissatisfied with traffic flow from 6–9 a.m. northbound and 3–6 p.m. southbound on weekdays
